There's more to art than fingerpainting.... Your child's first real artistic education should be something that excites and educates, encourages and motivates. The Preschool Introduction to the Arts is a thematically-based selection of arts projects specifically geared towards younger children’s interests and abilities. Using a theme chosen to captivate the younger mind, each week long session is designed to introduce, develop, and enhance artistic skills while encouraging the child’s native creative abilities. Activities may include found art collages, painting, drawing, simple sculpture, and even clay.
We do not offer full day registrations for Kindercamps. There are discounts for early enrollment, siblings, and multiple registrations.
To guarantee quality of instruction, art camps have age and enrollment limits. Enrollment available on a first come/first serve basis. Children will be under adult supervision at all times. Fees include all supplies and usage fees for the duration of camps. Through projects based on camp themes (for example, painting flowers for "Out of the Garden" or drawing horses for "Down on the Farm"), children will be guided through the principles of designing, creating, and finishing projects in the mediums of drawing, painting, and sculpture, at a level appropriate to their ability. Each half-day kindercamp is divided into five activity periods, with a welcoming activity (a short, creative or preparatory exercise), a structured art activity, a supervised outdoor break, an instruction period, and a farewell activity (similar to welcome activities).
Syllabus may be modified slightly based on theme, weather, or other factors. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
